FAQ's
We know you will have lots of questions and we welcome them all.  We are entering your home and caring for your pets.  Here are some questions we get asked regularly.

How many dogs do you walk at once?  All our walks are private or semi-private, meaning, no more than 2 dogs are walked at a time. All dogs are different, age, weight, breed, energy level.  We customize the walk to fit your pets needs.  They deserve our undivided attention and they deserve to get the most from the walk, with Oh To Be A Dog, they do!
Are your Employees Vetted?  All our walkers are real employees. We do a full background and reference check. Unlike all of these "on demand" dog walking apps, which have thousands of walkers, we don’t hire based on an online multiple-choice questionnaire! We get to know all of our walkers personally and spend a trial week with them out on the job to train them to our high standards of safety, responsibility and compassion.
How do to handle house keys?  We primarily get keys from the front desk. We can also get you a lock box.
How does payment work?  Payments are made on a weekly basis. Your credit/debit card is stored in our Pet Check system, which is 100% secure. You enter the card and even we can't see the number, just the last four digits. Your card will be automatically processed on Sunday or Monday for any services the previous week. You only pay for what you used, 1 walk or 10. If your card declines for 3 weeks, your walks will automatically be deleted.
What is your cancellation/add-on policy?  You can cancel up to the day of your scheduled appointment.  We ask you text us or request a cancellation online as soon as you know you will not need service and you will not be charged. If we show up and you forgot to cancel, you will be charged for the walk. Add-ons will try to be accommodated, we hardly say no. We just ask you to be open with the time frame.
Does the GPS system cost extra?  Nope! The GPS system is included. When you sign up, there is a ONE TIME $10 fee for the magnet we leave in your home. This scannable QR code is unique to you.
Do you have references?  Yes we have plenty of happy pet parents, just ask.
What about insurance?  Yep! We are covered.
What areas do you cover?  Manhattan. We only cover from 148th down to Fidi on the WESTSIDE!
